Diane Sosne, RN, MN is President of SEIU Healthcare 1199NW representing 24,000 registered nurses, professional, technical and service workers in Washington State.  Ms. Sosne is also a member of the Service Employees International Union Executive Board and the Executive Committee of the Health Care Division Leadership Board. Other national work includes serving on the Joint Commission’s Nursing Advisory Council as well as her role as the Labor Co-Chair of the Healthcare Career Advancement Program (H-CAP), a unique Labor/Management partnership to address the nursing shortage and incumbent worker career ladders.  In her home state of Washington, Ms. Sosne serves on the Board of the Washington Center for Nursing and the State’s Health Care Personnel Shortage Task Force.  Ms. Sosne also serves as a Trustee of the SEIU Healthcare 1199NW Multi-Employer Training Fund.

Ms. Sosne received her BS in Nursing from Simmons College in Boston and MN in Psychosocial Nursing from the University of Washington in Seattle.
